Never put a product made of alpaca wool in a washing machine.
Allow to soak in cold or lukewarm water for 30-60 minutes with a little mild detergent or baby shampoo. Don't even stir.
Remove from wash water and rinse in cold or lukewarm running water.
Then DO NOT unscrew! What you can do is gently (Carefully!) Squeeze out the water.
Place the garment between two towels and roll it up to squeeze the water out of it.
Dry in air, laid out, shaped. Do not place near a stove or radiator or in direct sunlight. It will take a while to dry, this should be taken into account before washing.
Do not hang up dry!
