The chullo is a traditional Peruvian hat that specializes in hanging earflops. It is a symbol of Andean culture that was already made by the ancient Peruvians to protect themselves from the extreme cold in the Andean highlands. The more traditional ones come from Cusco, Puno, Ayacucho, Huancavelica and other high places in the Peruvian Andes. In these cities, they fulfill the goal of identifying the characters of the Andean population. Depending on where they are made, the colors, figures, motifs and shapes are in keeping with tradition and local usage.
